Do společnosti RESPECT jsem byla pozvána na pohovor díky mé letité známé, která ve společnosti pracovala. Věděla, že se rozhlížím po práci na zkrácený úvazek, abych mohla vhodně skloubit studium, práci a zbyl mi i důležitý čas pro rodinu a mé zájmy. Jednalo se o pohovor na pozici recepční, který probíhal za účasti personální ředitelky a manažerky správy budov. Pohovor probíhal v přátelské atmosféře a pěkném prostředí. Dozvěděla jsem se, jaké je očekávání společnosti ve vztahu k této pozici a možnosti, které mi společnost může nabídnout. V tomto období bylo pro mě prioritou ukončení vysokoškolského studia a náplň práce mi vyhovovala. U pohovoru jsem uspěla a obdržela pracovní nabídku, kterou jsem přijala. Rozhodující pro mě byl “dobrý pocit” z průběhu pohovoru, příjemné pracovní prostředí, pozitivní přístup společnosti a vstřícnost ve vztahu ke studiu.

At the time I joined the company, I did not have much knowledge of the insurance industry and the work of an insurance broker. I was more focused on finishing my studies and saw my future professional life in the field of industrial property rights. However, in the course of my work, I got to know colleagues from other departments, thanks to whom I learned a lot of interesting practical information about the work of an insurance broker. I liked the variety of the job and the virtually unlimited possibilities in relation to personal as well as professional growth.

Therefore, when I was offered to move up to the position of Broker Assistant after graduation, I thought why not. I assisted in arranging vessel and shipping insurance. Subsequently, I advanced to the position of Procurement Specialist where my main task was to prepare bids in accordance with the client's guidelines, while I was also already involved in the administration of selected clients' insurance programs. I then moved up through the Broker position to my current position as a Senior Broker where my main job is to administer and set up our clients' insurance programs in the large industrial risk area, conduct tenders, negotiate with clients and insurers on insurance terms and conditions, acquisition activities and support our team.

What I like about RESPECT is that it is a dynamic company with healthy growth, which is always moving forward and trying to reflect the current market situation as much as possible, whether in terms of legislative changes or economic developments, and yet it remains a company with a family atmosphere, which cares about its employees and tries to create a pleasant working environment and conditions for them. Every employee has an important role to play here and is part of the whole team.

Obor pojišťovnictví je opravdu velmi rozmanitý a vhodný pro každého, kdo hledá zajímavou a pestrou práci, rád komunikuje s lidmi, je připraven na sobě pracovat a rozvíjet své znalosti a dovednosti. Propracovaný systém firemního vzdělávání a ochota ostatních kolegů sdílet “své know-how” pak pomůže uchazeči proniknout do tohoto krásného profesního oboru.

Pro přípravu na pohovor obecně platí: dobrá nálada, příjemné vystupování, prezentace své osoby a předchozích zkušeností a jaké jsou očekávání uchazeče. Pro každého je důležité a motivační něco jiného, proto doporučuji “nebát se” zeptat.

As in other professions that place high demands on expertise, concentration and resistance to stress, it is important for me to be able to "switch off", clear my head and relax. For me, relaxation means mainly physical activity, especially riding a horse in the countryside or working in the garden. We grow vegetables, fruit and have a small vineyard on about 0.5 hectares. So there is plenty of work. And when there is time, it is actively used by cycling, travelling and skiing in winter.
