The twelfth annual event called Magic Day with Krakonoš took place on the last Sunday in August. The competitive morning with many stations was an opportunity for children to try out both sports and knowledge disciplines in a fun way. For their effort and performance in completing them, they could choose a reward from a full gift table.
The weather was not in our favor this time, but on Sunday morning Krakonoš finally chased away the rainy clouds and the children enjoyed the competition morning to the fullest with a smile on their faces. Mr. Krakonoš was personally present all day and the children could take pictures with him, he also gave us one picture. The weekend in a nice company of children was very nice.
RESPECT volunteers helped with the preparation of the whole event and were also active at the different stations. Children who are undergoing long-term treatment at the hospital take part in the event and at the same time practice their motor skills through play. Rewards for the children in the form of toys, gifts, games and equipment for the leisure areas of the hospital are also provided by RESPECT employees. Either they bring the wrapped packages with gifts directly, or they contribute financially and the gifts and toys are purchased centrally from the proceeds of the collection.
