One of the organizations whose activities appealed to us was the Open Heart Shelter. The facility provides a temporary home for single mothers who, due to circumstances, find themselves in a difficult life situation. Currently there are 12 mothers and 28 children in the home. The mission of this organization is to help mothers stand on their own feet so that they can leave after a year of stay and be completely independent.
Theamount collected from our employees was increased by 100% by RESPECT, which brought the final amount to 65 000 CZK. The donation was used to create special Christmas packages for each family, which included fruit, nuts, toiletries and other small items for the children, among other things. We will also support the construction of a multifunctional playground that will be built on the premises of this organization this spring, bringing joy to all who find themselves in this facility for a time in the future.
Corporate social responsibility is a top priority for RESPECT. We have been supporting dozens of projects over the long term, both in the environmental and social fields. Every year, volunteers from among our employees personally go to help children at the children's hospital in Janské Lázně. Furthermore, our support goes to homes for the elderly and last year we also supported several hospitals on the front line in the fight against covid-19.
We are glad to have been able to provide help to children and mothers in need during this difficult time, because helping, not only in times of pandemic, brings a deeper meaning to our daily work.
